More about Mrs. Kodat:  My first degrees are in classical music performance on bassoon (Indiana University Bloomington and Florida State University with summers at the Utah Chamber Music Festival and Brevard Music Festival).  After working with several student clubs for a 'day' job, I realized how much I enjoyed teaching.  I went back to school for my Master's in Education with certification (University of St. Francis), and this marks year 16 teaching Kindergarten and 1st Grade music in Coal City.  I also experienced one year teaching 5th Grade music and added 2nd Grade music to the list several years ago.  This will be my 4th year teaching 3rd Grade music.  Other instruments that I've performed publicly on include organ, piano/keyboard, hand bells, boomwhackers, ukulele, and bass guitar.
