Hello! I have been teaching for 29 years in the Coal City School District. I taught 2nd grade for my first 11 years and the rest of my time has been spent with Kindergarten students! I am a life long learner in education. I obtained my Masters Degree in Teaching and Leadership in 1998. I became National Board Certified in 2011. I finished the researched based LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) program in 2023. I love teaching at the Early Childhood Center and laying the foundation for a positive education journey for my young students!

I live in Fairbury with my husband Mark and my two children. Connor is a senior at Olivet Nazarene University and is studying to become a Physical Therapist. McKenna is a junior at Olivet also and she plans to become an English teacher. My 'baby' now is my 16-year-old ShihTzu named AJ!
