Kindergarten children in Mrs. Steichen’s and Mr. Pfeifer’s class hope you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
The students have learned about “wants and needs” in their social studies lessons and had many discussions about what they wanted this year for Christmas. Each child chose four gift ideas that they hope to receive for Christmas. For each item, they drew a picture and wrote by using inventive spelling (writing only the sounds they hear).
“Writing is not easy for five year olds, however it is the most fun to read,” Mrs. Steichen said.
This is a list of some items the children in our class would like to receive: computer, stuffy, fan, train, helicopter, flowers, motor truck, couch, dolls, Legos, games, kitchen set, stuffed animal, BB guns, jetski, police officer, makeup, dresses, jewelry, crafts, basketball, laser gun, doll house, skateboard, Barbies, and guinea pigs.
