How to catch the Gingerbread Man

 

In Mrs. Stewart’s first grade class, the students have been reading different versions of “The Gingerbread Man.” They are using a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast two of the stories. The students also decorated a gingerbread house and used adjectives to describe it. After reading “How to Catch a Gingerbread Man,” the students used different materials (Legos, Mega Blocks, Tinker Toys, etc) to create different traps. Using a sequence of events page, the students wrote about how their trap would work. During math, they practiced fact families on gingerbread houses.
