It was a field trip day for students at Coal City’s Early Childhood Center, yet the students never left the school. Instead of heading out for an adventure, the adventure came to them.
Mr. Scott brought his Amazing Musical Backpack to the school on Friday, Dec. 8 and the surprising things that came from the red knapsack captured the students' attention and had them singing and dancing around the school gym with their teachers and principal.
Dressed in his ranger vest and hat, Mr. Scott showcased his love of the outdoors by introducing the students to a host of friends including a bunny, snow owl and squirrel. He shared his musical talents by playing songs on his guitar, made balloon animals and even poked a big pin through a balloon.
It was a fun Friday field trip day for the students and staff.
