Coal City’s youngest musicians are singing and learning a steady beat, loud and quiet, fast and slow, and connecting feelings to music by using scarves, rhythm sticks and books in kindergarten. First graders are learning using castanets, egg shakers and the Forte Dog game, as well as silly movement songs. These are just a few of the many activities we have enjoyed so far during music class at the Early Childhood Center.
