Welcome to Coal City Early Childhood Center's Library!

Our ECC Library houses over 10,000 books and materials for our students and staff.
Kindergarten and 1st Grade students visit the library once a week to checkout one book to go home. 
1st grade often visits the library a second time each week for book box books that are kept at school.
Preschool classes enjoy a different bag of library books based on their themes every week. 
 
During library instruction, students are introduced to new genres, authors, illustrators, and characters, while also learning features of fiction and non-fiction texts, library navigation skills, and reading skills.
